If you will need a twin rollaway bed, please select either an Executive King, King Suite, or Double King Suite. For your safety the local fire code limits rollaway bed use to these room types.
Our rooms do not have balconies or patios.
Every guest room has a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker but no stove or hotplate. You are welcome to order food delivered from many local restaurants, and we encourage you to avail yourself of the two excellent restaurants that are part of West Village.
We have 10 rooms, limited to the first floor only, in which you are welcome to have a pet guest. There is no limit on size, but we only allow a maximum of 2 pets per room. For the comfort of those with allergies or not used to being around animals, we ask that you not linger in the common areas with your furred friend. The patio at the adjacent Bistro West restaurant is pet friendly.
There is a supplemental charge of $75 per night for the first two nights if you have a pet. Additional nights do not incur the pet charge.
Please be considerate of others by never leaving your pet alone in the room, and by cleaning up after your pet. We can help you arrange for doggie day care, a dog walker, or other assistance with your animal.

Select from many breakfast options in our delicious breakfast buffet that do not inherently contain gluten, including fresh fruit, eggs, yogurt, and bacon. Both of our on-site restaurants offer without-gluten menu options, as well. Please be aware, however, that we are not a gluten-free facility and do not segregate non-gluten foods, so you must determine your acceptable exposure risk.
We offer free local shuttle service to nearby LEGOLAND and the beach. You are welcome to use this service any time during your stay, including the day of your check-in and check-out. Our insurance allows us to provide this service to registered guests. We will be glad to help arrange alternate transportation if friends will be joining you for the day that are not staying with us.

We are 54 miles (about an hour) from John Wayne/Orange County airport, 32 miles (about 35 minutes) from San Diego International Airport, and the local Carlsbad McClellan-Palomar Airport is 4.5 miles from the hotel. We will be glad to assist you in arranging for a commercial shuttle or limo service to or from any of these airports.
We have a well stocked pantry store adjacent to the front desk, available 24 hours a day, from which you may purchase ice cream, personal care items, newspapers, candy, non-alcoholic drinks, and many other immediate needs. You may pay cash or charge purchases to your room account.
The West Inn & Suites property includes two restaurants- the widely acclaimed West Steak and Seafood restaurant, for sophisticated dinner dining, and the versatile and informal Bistro West for Sunday brunch, lunch and dinner. Children will find the atmosphere and selections of the the latter more to their liking. Casual attire (but no swimsuits) is always welcome at Bistro West. Business casual (no hats, caps, or beach attire) is appropriate for the West Steak and Seafood restaurant.

Reservations are highly recommended and can be made online at www.weststeakandseafood.com, or the front desk will be glad to make arrangements for you at either restaurant.
There is also a 24-hour-a-day gas station on the premises with a minimart (Westmart) that carries a wide variety of food and other items for sale; and is open from 5:30-12am daily. Westmart does not sell beer or wine, but there are several nearby convenience stores that do. Feel free to ask the front desk for directions.
Just ask us! We love to talk about food, because Carlsbad and surrounding areas offer many wonderful eating options, from world-class international cuisine to local seafood. We maintain a library of menus from most local restaurants, and any of our front desk staff will be pleased to help you out with a few of their favorite picks.
We'll be there to help you get there. It is only three blocks to the ocean, but another half-mile or so to the nearest beach access point, so let us take you there by shuttle. No charge, and we offer our guests complimentary use of beach chairs, umbrellas, body boards and sand toys! We want you and your family to have fun. Don't forget the sunscreen (if you do, don't worry- we have it for sale in our pantry store).
